Hello from Latvia!

In june 14 - 15th In Latvia, near Ogre city will be held endurance race "Trek 12/24h"

About race in short.
There are two main classes - 12 and 24 hour race. Competitors can participate in solo or pair class in each of race main classes.
Key point of this race is to earn maximum number of laps in 12 or 24h time allowed

Route data: One lap is approx. 7km lenght, 85% in trails with good relief, 15% forest roads.
Averange speed of lap 13 km/h, max. speed 38 km/h, averange time 30min.
In short - route is designed to comply MTB riding idea and not to be boring in these hours, there is a lot of technical sections with different types of ground.

Scheme of start place, route scheme, possibility for night stay before race and other service information will coming soon.

There will be possibility to stay for night in one of Ogre city scool. Approx. distance to start 3km. Night stay will be for free.

this race will be open Latvian Championship in 24h mountainbiking!

Here is a previous year distance scheme. This years distance will be almost the same, with few small changes. I remind, that there is still possible enter the race until 12. june.

Night stay place - Ogres gimnazija, Meza prospekts 14, Ogre
Enter the gymnasium will be possible on friday, 13.june from 21:00. You have to take your own sleeping bag. Showers will be aviable.

Recomendations:
Have a backup team with you. Its important, when you are really tired, to have someone that helps you with bike repairs etc.
Take a real XC tyres with you. Track is narrow and windy. "Slicks" will be bad choice.
If you have, take some tent, unfortunately, we cant manage tents for all competitors.
Take a good lights. Best combination is lights on helmet and on handlebar too.
Take with you everything, what you suggest, can help you. Better something more than less.
