Information for 1st stage

Race location:
In sport facility’s “Riekstukalns” teritory near “Mežkalns” – http://ejuz.lv/2017gruzis1posms (Follow signs which lead to “Mežkalns” but not to “Riekstukalns”)

11:00 Closed registration for groups: Juniors 15, Juniors 17
11:30 Start for groups: Juniors 15, Juniors 17
12:30 Closed registration for rest of the groups
13:00 Start for rest of the groups
~15:30 Award ceremony for all groups

Attention changes in Youth 15, Youth 17 finishing order – same principal as in adults competition:
In adults competition after Men Elite leader finishes race, start is closed and participants from Elite and all the other groups can not start a new lap – all riders finishes their started lap and are ranked by finished lap count and time, regardless if they managed to finish specified lap count for their group.

In Youth 15, Youth 17 competition after Men Youth 17 leader finishes race, start is closed and participants from Youth 15 and Youth 17 groups can not start a new lap – all riders finishes their started lap and are ranked by finished lap count and time, regardless if they managed to finish specified lap count for their group.

Peale eelmisel päeval läbitud Põleva kivi rattamaratoni oli see ronimine ikka väga raske. Juba stardist oli vaja laskumisnõlvast üles sõita. Ja seda mäge oli vaja igal ringil 4 korda jalamilt üles sõita. Installeerisin enne starti 32-se esihammaka (XX1 Eagle), et käigud otsa ei saaks. Otsa ei saanud, aga vahel oli kerides selline tunne nagu pargiks. Ilmselt oleks suurema ülekandega sama valus olnud, aga kiirus oleks suurem olnud, aga kuidagi ei suutnud endale öelda, et pane üks käik raskemaks. Laskumised olid väga ägedad ja väga puhata ei lasknud, seega, puhata sai alles pärast sõitu
Ilm oli ilus, kõik sujus, auhindu jagus ka meile, mis sa hing ikka veel tahad.

Here is what You will face on this Sunday 20. August! We present track scheme for “Gruzis acī” XCO second stage at Priekuļi.
Track is 3,9km long. In each lap You will vertically climb in total ~130m. For comparison on the first stage at Baldone there was in total more than 200m which was one of the toughest stages in our history.
Don’t forget that we close online registration for second stage at midnight on Wednesday. It will also be possible to register on the race day but it will be a bit more expensive.

This XCO track at "Zilie kalni" will be perfect for those who want to try out XCO discipline for the first time because track is made of multiple relatively short and shallow climbs followed by downhill sections with different level obstacles which will test beginner riders and also riders with experience.
