Renting mountainbike in Estonia
First of all, sorry that this post is in English, as my Estonian is very basic.
My name is Jeroen, a 34 year old mountain biker from the Netherlands. I will be Estonia to ride the Raplamaa Rattamaraton. I am looking for a good mountainbike to rent in Tallinn or surroundings.
Looking on the internet, i can't find any rental that rents out good mountainbikes for this marathon.
Does someone on this forum maybe have a good idea where I can rent a good mountainbike? Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Jeroen

Hello
The market for such a service in Estonia is virtually non-existent, so there isn't anybody offering it. You could try citybike.ee, if I remember correctly, they might have something.

Re: Renting mountainbike in Estonia
Thanks for the answer. citybike.ee only has really simple bikes, no proper stuff.
Would it be possible to do a request here if someone would rent out a personal bike for the weekend? If so, under which category should I do that?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Renting mountainbike in Estonia
Hi,
could you specify at least your height and weight.
Our event is a bit bumpier perhaps, but still easily rideable with hardtail e.g. no need for FS.
And one never knows until asked, is it 29er or 26er You looking for?

Re: Renting mountainbike in Estonia
Hi,
I am 191cm long and 112 kg, so big guy
Preferably i would ride a 29er, but if someone can help me out with a 26er I would be ok. Here in the Netherlands i ride a Giant Anthem x 29er Size XL.
i also send out a mail to both the specialized store and the hawaii store.
Thanks already everybody for their suggestions and help!

Re: Renting mountainbike in Estonia
As others have mentioned high end mtb rental is not very big market.
However City Bike OÜ tries to offer some bikes from this season.
We have new 29er range:
Merida Big Nine 500, 19" frame
Merida Big Nine 300, 19" frame
Merida Big Nine 100, 17" frame
On-One Lurcher Carbon Hardtail 29er Frame 19.5 project but more like training bike
And bunch of new 29er more casual ride
We will have new website from first of May .
But the truth is every serious race makes quite a lot servicing afterwards and the fair rental price for 1 day should be 50+ EUR to pay off, but maybe someone wants to rent from private persons or have second bike, older model spare
