Piduri õli valik
Postitatud: 25. 01. 2006. 23:52
Sai taaskord üht shimano hüdropidurit näpitud/õhutatud, mistõttu lõppesid kodused õlivarud. Kuna shima tavapudel on imepisike (50ml) ja kolekallis, otsisin alternatiivi originaalõlile. Euroopa pakub suht soodsalt Finish line mineraal õli.

Hydraulic System Mineral Oil (HSMO) Fluids
HSMO is the least common type of brake fluid, being
used by only three carmakers: Citroen, Rolls Royce, and in
some Audi models in their brake booster system.HSMO is not
a polyglycol or silicone fluid, but rather is made from a mineral
oil base. It has a very high boiling point, it is not hygroscopic, it
is a very good lubricant, and it actively prevents rust and corrosion.
HSMO fluid can be identified by its green color.
Because HSMO is petroleum based, systems designed
for its use also require seals made of special rubber. If polyglycol
or silicone fluid (DOT) is used in a system designed for
HSMO, these fluids will destroy the HSMO system seals.
Mixing DOT 3 and DOT 4 in a system is not recommended,
but it can be done without damaging the system
or creating a damaging reaction. DOT 5 should never be
mixed with DOT 3 or 4 fluids.
